Ace Gerritt Cole returned on short rest and he cruised through 5 scoreless innings
until running out of gas in the 6th. Expos bats come alive and actually tie it up at
4 apiece, but the A's come right back knocking in a run off Ryan Yarbrough in the
bottom of the 7th. This time their lead holds and they win their first game of the
series to avoid the potential sweep. Athletics 5, Expos 4. Expos lead 3-1.
