Game 4: Minnesota's Drew Rasmussen (7-5, 3.59) at Cleveland's Brad Keller (8-9, 4.35)
The eager Twins jump out to a quick 1-0 lead on Brett Gardner's double, a groundout by
Nate Lowe that advanced him to third and an throwing error by pitcher Brad Keller on
Marcus Semien's comebacker. In the top of the third, Minnesota piles on four runs,
stringing together another error, a walk and three hits before Keller is lifted for rookie
Garrett Cleavinger. Up 5-0, things look comfortable for the Twins to even the series,
right? Wrong -- in the bottom half, Cleveland gets the four runs back with two walks,
three hits and a couple of sacrifice flies. Back-to-back doubles by Willson Contreras and
Carlos Correa tie it in the bottom of the fifth, and the Indians load the bases with a
couple more walks before Ronald Acuna Jr. grounds into a double play to end the threat
and leave it tied at 5. Top six, the Twins load the bases with one out against Robert
Gsellman and Richard Lovelady before Reyes Moronta comes on to face Semien. Boom, grand
slam and the Twins lead 9-5. The Indians do scratch back for a run in the bottom of the
eighth and have the tying run at the plate before Diego Castillo shuts things down. Twins
9-6, series tied 2-2.
