Game 6: Price vs Lilly:
To this point the home team had lose every game in this series. So much for home-field
edge. Reds looked to continue the trend, and LA to break it. It was pointless. Price was
incredible. Former Dodger Edwin Encarncion gave him all the runs he needed with a solo
shot off Lilly in the 2nd. And Price simply coasted the rest of the game, pitching a gem.
Lilly was torched for 6 runs in the 4th but LA stuck with them with eye on a game 7 and
Lilly responded by tossing 3 scoreless innings and giving LA's tired pen a rest as he
allowed 7 runs in 7 innings. On offense Encarnacion added another homer as did Hanigan,
but the story was the Reds' young ace. He tossed a shutout allowing 4 hits and 3 walks with
6 Ks to dominate LA and tie the series 3-3. Reds 7-0. WP - Price (1-0), LP - Lilly (0-1).
