Game 4: Drastic times call for drastic measures. With their backs up against the wall
and zero production from Coghlan, Infante and Zimmerman, significant changes are make to
shakeup the Braves lineup. Castillo, Garko, Sheffield and Hardy come in. Braves OF arms
of Garko in LF, Infante in CF and Sheffield in RF could be the worst in CFA playoff
history but it worked. Maybe starting Gavin Floyd on 3 days rest helped a little too.
Braves again score quickly with 2 in the 2nd. Things remain quiet until the 7th when the
Reds send in a pouting Chad Billingsley. Upset about being left out of the Reds playoff
rotation, allowed singles to Infante and Hardy. The equally pouty Sean Marshall gives up
singles to Coghlan and Castillo and then joins Billingsley in the doghouse. The Reds answer
with back to back jacks off Mike Gonzalez in the 8th by Chipper Jones and Joey Votto.
Broxton comes in to end the uprising. Braves score two more in the 8th with a Zimmerman
lead off single followed by Russel Branyan legging out a triple. A Cody Ross HR in the 9th
is not enough as the Braves celebrate their first playoff win (ATL 6 - Cin 3).
